Competitor Tracking for Wix

HaloSEO connects to your Wix site, researches the keywords your competitors rank for, and publishes posts in your own theme. Here is how the connection works and what it does on Wix.

How HaloSEO connects to Wix

You connect your Wix site from the HaloSEO dashboard. The connection uses Wix's own app and API access, so you approve it while signed in to your Wix account. HaloSEO asks for permission to read your site structure and to create and update blog posts. It does not ask for billing access, and it does not ask to change your domain or your store. You can revoke the connection from your Wix account at any time, and publishing stops as soon as you do.

What a published post looks like on a Wix site

Posts are created as Wix Blog posts, not as separate pages pasted in from outside. That means they use your site's own theme, fonts, colours and layout. Your header, footer and menu stay in place. The post appears in your Wix Blog feed and in your sitemap like any post you write yourself. You can edit it in the Wix editor afterwards, and your edits stay. Internal links are added to pages and posts that already exist on your site.

What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere

Wix keeps its own blog routing and sitemap, so HaloSEO writes through the Wix Blog structure rather than around it. Posts land in the same place as your hand written ones, which keeps your URLs consistent. Wix also handles the rendering and the metadata fields, so titles, descriptions and slugs are set through the fields Wix provides. If your site uses Wix SEO tools for redirects or structured data, those settings keep working on the new posts.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The connection can drop if you change your Wix password, remove the app, or change your site's plan. When that happens, HaloSEO stops publishing and flags the site in your dashboard. Nothing is published to a site it cannot reach. If a post fails to publish, it stays in the queue and is retried. If a scheduled post goes out with a problem, you get a notice and the post is left as a draft on Wix so you can check it before it goes live.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live, because HaloSEO publishes on a schedule. It is not right for sites that sell regulated products and need compliance review on each post. It is also not right if your Wix site is a single landing page with no blog, because there is nowhere for the posts to go.
