Shopify Integration for Wix
HaloSEO publishes to Wix through the Wix connection. This page explains how the connection works, what a post looks like on your site, and what to expect when something fails.
How HaloSEO connects to Wix
You connect your Wix site from the HaloSEO dashboard. The connection uses Wix's own authorisation flow, so you sign in to Wix and approve the access request there. HaloSEO asks for permission to create and edit blog posts and to read your site's blog structure. It does not ask for access to your store, your orders, your customers or your payment settings. You can revoke the connection at any time from your Wix account, and HaloSEO loses publishing access the moment you do.
What a published post looks like on Wix
HaloSEO publishes into your Wix blog, not into a separate hosted page. The post uses your site's own theme, fonts, colours and layout, so it looks like every other post on your blog. Headings, images, internal links and meta fields are written into the Wix post fields. Your header, footer and navigation stay in place. Readers see a normal page on your site, and search engines see it on your domain.
What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere
Wix keeps its own blog structure, and HaloSEO writes to that structure rather than around it. Posts land in the categories and tags your blog already uses. Wix handles the URL and the sitemap entry, so new posts are added to your site's sitemap without a separate step. If your Wix site uses a custom domain, posts publish on that domain. Drafts stay as drafts in Wix until they are scheduled or published.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The connection can drop if you change your Wix password, revoke access, or if Wix has an outage. When that happens, HaloSEO stops publishing and marks the affected posts as failed in the dashboard. Nothing is published to the wrong place and nothing is lost. You reconnect from the dashboard, and the failed posts can be retried. If a post publishes but looks wrong in your theme, it is still a normal Wix post and you can edit it in the Wix editor.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if your site is not on Wix, or if you want to approve every word before it goes live. HaloSEO is built to publish on a schedule without a manual review step. If you need a full editorial sign off on each post, use a writer and publish by hand. If you sell on Shopify and run a separate Wix blog, this page covers the Wix side only.
