SEO Images for Wix
Images on a Wix site carry weight in search and in AI answers. This page explains how HaloSEO handles images for Wix posts, and what it does not do.
How HaloSEO connects to Wix
You connect your Wix site to HaloSEO through the Wix App Market. You install the HaloSEO app on your site and approve the permissions it asks for. HaloSEO needs permission to read your site content and to create and publish blog posts. It does not need access to your store orders, your customer list or your payment settings. You can remove the app at any time from your Wix dashboard, and that ends the connection.
What a published post looks like on your Wix site
HaloSEO publishes into the Wix Blog app. The post uses your site's own theme, fonts and colours, so it looks like the rest of your blog. Images are uploaded to your Wix media library and attached to the post. Each image gets a file name, alt text and a caption written from the post topic. The post appears in your blog feed and in your sitemap the same way a post you wrote yourself would.
What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere
Wix stores images in its own media library, and HaloSEO uploads there rather than linking to files hosted somewhere else. That keeps your images inside Wix, so they survive if you change hosts later. Wix also handles image resizing and delivery through its own CDN. HaloSEO sets the alt text and file names, and Wix serves the files. On other platforms HaloSEO has to manage more of that chain itself.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The connection can drop if you change your Wix plan, remove the app, or revoke permissions in your Wix account. When that happens, HaloSEO stops publishing and flags the site in your dashboard. Posts already published stay live. If an image upload fails, the post still publishes and the missing image is listed for you to check. HaloSEO does not retry an upload forever. It reports the failure and waits for you.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want to hand pick every image yourself. HaloSEO chooses images from the post topic and writes the alt text. It does not read your brand guidelines or match a house photography style. If your images must come from a photographer or a fixed brand library, use HaloSEO for the text and add the images in Wix yourself.
