Image Generation for Wix

HaloSEO makes the images that go with your posts. Here is how that works on a Wix site, and what to expect when something goes wrong.

How HaloSEO connects to Wix

You connect your Wix site once, from your HaloSEO account. HaloSEO uses the Wix connection to read your site settings, publish posts and upload images to your media library. It needs permission to add and edit blog posts and to add media. It does not need your Wix password, and it does not touch your store, your payments or your members. You can revoke the connection from Wix at any time, and HaloSEO stops publishing the moment you do.

What a published post looks like on your Wix site

HaloSEO publishes into the Wix Blog app, so the post uses your blog layout, your fonts and your colours. The images are uploaded to your Wix media library and attached to the post, so they sit in the same place as images you add by hand. Featured images use the size your blog template expects. Inline images sit in the body where the text refers to them. Alt text is written from the post content, not copied from a stock library.

What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere

Wix keeps its own media library, and HaloSEO writes into it rather than hosting images on a separate CDN. That means your images are served by Wix, under your domain, with the same caching and resizing rules as the rest of your site. Wix also applies its own image optimisation and responsive sizes, so one upload covers desktop and mobile. If you change your blog theme later, the images stay attached to the posts and pick up the new layout.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The common failures are a revoked connection, an expired token, a media library that is full, or a Wix plan that no longer includes the blog. When a publish fails, HaloSEO marks the post as failed and keeps it in your queue. It does not publish a partial post. It retries on a backoff schedule and tells you in the dashboard what the error was. If an image upload fails but the post text is ready, the post is held rather than published without its images. You can fix the cause in Wix and retry from the dashboard.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to approve every image by hand before it goes live, or if your brand rules need a designer to sign off on each visual. It is also not right for sites that are not on Wix, or for Wix sites where you do not want a third party app to have publish access to your blog. If you need full manual control of every asset, use the Wix editor and add images yourself.
