Wix
SEO Dashboard for Wix
HaloSEO connects to your Wix site, researches keywords, writes and publishes posts, links them up and builds backlinks. This page explains how the Wix connection works and what to expect from it.
How HaloSEO connects to Wix
You install HaloSEO from the Wix App Market and approve the access it asks for. That access lets HaloSEO read your site structure and publish posts to your blog. It does not let HaloSEO change your theme, your store, your bookings or your settings. You can remove the app at any time from your Wix dashboard, and the access ends with it.
What a published post looks like on your Wix site
Posts are published as normal Wix blog posts. They use your site's own theme, fonts, colours and layout, so a reader cannot tell them apart from posts you wrote yourself. Each post gets a title, a URL, headings, internal links and meta fields. You can edit any post in the Wix editor after it goes live, and your edits stay.
What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere
Wix keeps its blog, its SEO settings and its sitemap in one place, and HaloSEO writes to all three through the same connection. New posts appear in your Wix sitemap without you doing anything. Internal links are added to posts that already exist on your site, not only to new ones. If you use Wix Multilingual, posts are published to the language versions you have turned on.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The connection can drop if you change your Wix password, remove the app, or if Wix has an outage. When that happens, HaloSEO stops publishing and shows the failure in your dashboard. Nothing is published twice. Posts that were already scheduled stay queued until the connection is restored, and you can retry from the dashboard. If a post fails to publish, the draft is kept so nothing is lost.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live, if your blog is a personal journal you would rather write yourself, or if you need posts in a language HaloSEO does not support yet. It is also not right for sites that sell through Wix Stores only and have no blog, because there is nothing for HaloSEO to publish to.
