Content Calendar for Wix
HaloSEO connects to your Wix site, researches keywords, writes posts, publishes them in your theme and builds links. This page explains how the connection works and what to expect.
How HaloSEO connects to Wix
You connect your Wix site once, from inside HaloSEO. The connection uses Wix's own app permission screen, so you see exactly what is being asked for before you approve it. HaloSEO needs permission to read your site settings and to create and publish blog posts on your behalf. It does not need your Wix password, and it does not get access to your store orders, your customer list or your payments. You can remove the connection from your Wix dashboard at any time, and publishing stops the moment you do.
What a published post looks like on your Wix site
Posts are published through the Wix Blog app, so they use your site's own theme. Headings, body text, links and images pick up the fonts, colours and spacing you already set. The post appears in your blog feed and in your sitemap like any post you write yourself. You can open it in the Wix editor and change anything after it goes live. HaloSEO does not inject its own templates or its own styling into your pages.
What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere
Wix keeps its own blog structure, and HaloSEO writes into that structure rather than around it. That means categories, post URLs and feed behaviour follow Wix rules, not a generic format. Wix also handles your sitemap and redirects, so HaloSEO works with those instead of replacing them. If you move a post's URL later, Wix manages the redirect, and HaloSEO updates its internal links to match. On other platforms these pieces are often separate, and they can drift apart.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The most common failure is a revoked connection. If you remove HaloSEO's access in Wix, or change your Wix account, publishing stops. HaloSEO flags the site as disconnected and holds scheduled posts rather than losing them. A second failure is a theme change that removes the Wix Blog app. Posts already published stay where they are, but new ones cannot go out until the app is back. When something breaks, HaloSEO tells you in the dashboard and by email, and it does not retry silently in the background.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live. HaloSEO publishes on a schedule, and while you can edit or unpublish any post afterwards, it is built for hands off publishing. It is also not right for sites that do not use the Wix Blog app, or for anyone who wants a one off batch of articles rather than an ongoing calendar.
