Backlink Builder for WordPress
HaloSEO connects to your WordPress site, publishes posts in your own theme, and builds backlinks to them. Here is how the connection works and what to expect.
How HaloSEO connects to WordPress
You add your site in HaloSEO and approve a connection to WordPress. HaloSEO needs permission to create and edit posts, upload media, and set categories and tags. It does not need access to your users, your plugins, your theme files or your database. You can revoke the connection from your WordPress admin at any time, and publishing stops as soon as you do.
What a published post looks like
HaloSEO publishes through the normal WordPress post editor, so the post uses your theme. Headings, paragraphs, images and internal links follow your theme's styles. There is no separate HaloSEO template and no badge on the page. If your theme supports featured images, HaloSEO sets one. You can edit any post in WordPress after it goes live, and your edits stay.
What happens on WordPress that does not happen elsewhere
WordPress gives HaloSEO a stable place to publish and a public URL for every post, which is what backlinks point at. HaloSEO can add internal links between your published posts as the library grows. It can also use your existing categories and tags, so new posts sit alongside your older content instead of in a separate folder. On a site you host yourself, you keep the files and the content.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The connection can fail. Common causes are a changed password, a revoked permission, a security plugin blocking the request, or the site being down. When a publish fails, HaloSEO records the error and retries. It does not mark the post as live until WordPress confirms it. If the connection stays broken, publishing pauses and you get a notice. Posts already on your site are not affected.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live, if your host blocks outside publishing tools, or if you run a site where content must pass a legal or medical review each time. It is also not right for you if you want a fixed number of backlinks by a fixed date. HaloSEO builds links over time and does not promise a count or a timeframe.
