Local SEO for HubSpot

HaloSEO writes pages for the phrases people search with a place attached, and publishes them to your HubSpot site. Here is how the connection works and what it does not do.

How HaloSEO connects to HubSpot

You connect your HubSpot account to HaloSEO once, from the HaloSEO settings. The connection uses a private app token that you create in HubSpot. HaloSEO needs permission to read your site pages and to create and edit pages and blog posts. It does not need permission to read contacts, deals or any CRM record, and you should not grant it. If you would rather not give write access, you can connect with read access only and export the drafts instead.

What the published post looks like on a HubSpot site

HaloSEO publishes into your HubSpot site, so the post uses your own theme. Your header, footer, fonts, colours and navigation apply. The post is a normal HubSpot page or blog post, so you can edit it in the HubSpot editor afterwards, add modules, and set the URL and meta description. If the business has an address on file, HaloSEO can place a map of the business on the page. Nothing is published until you approve it, unless you turn approval off.

What happens on HubSpot that does not happen elsewhere

HubSpot keeps the page inside your own site, so it inherits your theme and your existing page settings. It also appears in the same place as your other HubSpot content, which means your team can find it, edit it and report on it with the tools they already use. The map is placed from the business address you give us, so the page carries a location without you building a module for it.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The connection can break. A token can be revoked, a user who created it can lose access, or HubSpot can change something on their side. When that happens, publishing stops and HaloSEO shows the failure on the post. Nothing is lost. The draft stays in HaloSEO and you can reconnect and publish again. If a publish fails partway, you may get a draft page in HubSpot that you need to delete. Check the post list after a failure.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want Google Business Profile handled. HaloSEO does not post to Google Business Profile, and it does not manage reviews or listings. It is also not right for you if you want a guaranteed position, a traffic number or a date. We do not control search engines and we will not promise one. And if you do not have a HubSpot site to publish to, this page is not the one you need.
