Webflow
Backlink Builder for Webflow
HaloSEO connects to your Webflow site, writes and publishes posts in your own theme, and builds backlinks to them. Here is how the Webflow side works.
How HaloSEO connects to Webflow
You connect your Webflow site once, from the HaloSEO dashboard. The connection uses the Webflow API and a site level token that you create in your Webflow account settings. HaloSEO needs permission to read your site structure and to create and publish CMS items in the collection you choose. It does not need access to your billing, your members, your forms or your other sites. You pick the collection and the author, and you can revoke the token in Webflow at any time.
What the published post looks like
HaloSEO writes into a Webflow CMS collection, so the post renders through your existing collection template. It uses your fonts, your colours, your spacing and your components. Headings, paragraphs, lists, images and internal links all come through as normal rich text fields. There is no HaloSEO wrapper, no injected stylesheet and no separate subdomain. A reader cannot tell the post was written by a tool, because on the page it is just another item in your collection.
What happens on Webflow that does not happen elsewhere
Webflow gives HaloSEO a clean structure to work with. Collections have defined fields, so HaloSEO can fill a slug, a summary, a category and a rich text body without guessing. Publishing goes through the Webflow publish step, so your staging and live behaviour stays the same. Internal links are written against your real page paths, which means fewer broken links after publish. And because Webflow serves static pages, the posts load fast, which helps the pages that the backlinks point at.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The common failures are a revoked token, a renamed or deleted collection, a changed field name, and a publish that Webflow rejects. When a publish fails, HaloSEO keeps the draft, logs the error and retries on the next run. It does not mark the post as live. If a field is missing, the post is held rather than published half filled. If the token stops working, publishing pauses and you get a notice in the dashboard. Nothing is deleted from your site by HaloSEO.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if your Webflow site is a single landing page with no CMS collections, because there is nowhere to publish a post. It is not right for you if you want to approve every word by hand before it goes live, since the point is unattended publishing. It is not right for you if you need posts in a language or a tone we have not set up for your account. And it is not right for you if you expect rankings in a set number of days, because we do not promise timeframes we have not measured.
