Automatic Blog Publishing for WordPress
HaloSEO connects to your WordPress site, writes the posts, and publishes them in your own theme. This page explains the connection, the permission it needs, and what happens when something breaks.
How HaloSEO connects to WordPress
You add your site in HaloSEO and approve a connection to WordPress. HaloSEO needs permission to create and edit posts, upload media, and set categories and tags. It does not need your WordPress password. You can revoke the connection from your WordPress admin at any time, and publishing stops when you do.
What the published post looks like
Posts are published as normal WordPress posts. They use your active theme, so headings, fonts, colours and layout match the rest of your site. Images are uploaded to your media library. Categories and tags are set. The post appears in your archive pages and feeds like any other post, and you can edit it in the WordPress editor.
What happens on WordPress that does not happen elsewhere
HaloSEO can publish straight into WordPress without a separate copy and paste step. It can add internal links to your existing posts and pages, because it can read your site structure. It can update older posts as well as publish new ones. Scheduled posts go through the WordPress scheduler, so your normal publishing rules apply.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
Connections can fail. A plugin update, a changed password, a host migration or a security plugin can block the connection. When that happens, HaloSEO stops publishing and flags the site in your dashboard. Nothing is published twice. Posts already scheduled stay in WordPress and publish on their own schedule. You reconnect, and publishing resumes from where it stopped.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want to write every post yourself and only use a tool for ideas. It is not right for sites that cannot give a publishing tool access to posts. It is not right for anyone who needs a guaranteed ranking or a fixed timeframe, because we do not promise either.
