Custom API

Keyword Research for Custom API

HaloSEO connects to your Custom API site, finds the phrases that already earn traffic in your market and that you have no page for, and hands them to the planner as subjects. The output is a publishing plan, not a report.

How HaloSEO connects to Custom API

You connect your website to HaloSEO. For a Custom API site, that means giving HaloSEO a way to read your existing pages and a way to publish new ones. The permission it needs is write access to your content, so it can create and update posts, plus read access to your published pages so it can see what you already cover. It does not need access to your customer data, your orders or your admin settings. You grant the access once, and you can revoke it at any time.

What the published post looks like on a Custom API site

Posts are published in your site's own theme. They use your templates, your fonts, your colours and your layout. There is no HaloSEO badge, no separate blog skin and no widget you have to place. A reader on your site sees a normal page that matches the rest of your content. HaloSEO also links the new post to related pages on your site, so the post sits inside your existing structure rather than floating on its own.

What happens on Custom API that does not happen elsewhere

Because HaloSEO talks to your API rather than to a fixed platform, it works with the content model you already have. Your fields, your content types and your URL rules stay as they are. New posts are created against your own schema, so they behave like every other page on the site. That also means the keyword work is grounded in what your site actually publishes: HaloSEO reads your live pages to find the phrases you rank for but have no page for, then passes those phrases to the planner as subjects.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If your API credentials expire or are revoked, publishing stops. HaloSEO cannot create or update posts until access is restored, and the plan waits rather than failing silently. If your API changes shape, for example a renamed field or a new required value, a post may be rejected. HaloSEO reports the rejection so you can fix the mapping. If your site is down, publishing is retried later. Nothing is published twice, and nothing is published to a page you did not approve.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want a keyword tool you can search in. HaloSEO is not that. There is no dashboard of search volumes to browse and no export of keyword lists. The output is the publishing plan, not a report. It is also not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live, or if your site has no API and no way to grant publishing access. And it is not right for you if you need a guaranteed ranking or a date. We do not control search engines and we do not promise positions.
