Wix Integration for Google Search Console

HaloSEO connects to your Wix site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works and what it does not do.

How HaloSEO connects to your Wix site

You connect your Wix site to HaloSEO once. You approve the connection from your Wix account, and HaloSEO then has permission to publish posts to that site. It does not get access to anything else on the site. You can remove the connection from your Wix account at any time, and publishing stops when you do.

What the published post looks like

HaloSEO publishes the finished post to your Wix site as a normal post. It uses the site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your blog. It sits on your own domain, not on a HaloSEO domain. There is no widget and no embed. To a visitor it is a post on your site, and to a search engine it is a page on your domain.

What happens on Wix that does not happen elsewhere

The post is created inside Wix, so it appears in your Wix blog and in your Wix dashboard like any post you wrote yourself. You can edit it, unpublish it or delete it there. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you and does not need a plugin that you keep up to date. It also does not change anything else on the Wix site, such as your pages, menus, settings or other posts.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

If you remove the connection in Wix, or change your Wix permissions, publishing stops. Posts already on your site stay where they are. If a publish fails, HaloSEO reports the failure and does not mark the post as live. You can reconnect the site and publish again. Nothing on your Wix site is deleted by a failed publish.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog, or if you want a plugin inside Wix that you manage and update. It is also not right for you if you need HaloSEO to edit existing pages or change your site's design. The integration publishes new posts to your Wix site and does nothing beyond that.
