Google Search Console
WordPress Integration for Google Search Console
HaloSEO connects to your WordPress site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works and what it does and does not touch.
How HaloSEO connects to your WordPress site
You connect your WordPress site to HaloSEO once. You give HaloSEO permission to publish posts to that site. That is the permission it needs and the only one it uses. HaloSEO does not need access to your hosting, your database or your other plugins. Once the connection is made, HaloSEO can send a finished post to your site as a normal post.
What the published post looks like
The post goes live on your own domain, inside your own theme. It looks like any other post on your site. Your header, your footer, your fonts and your layout all apply. HaloSEO does not host the blog for you and does not put your content on a subdomain or a separate site. Visitors stay on your domain.
What happens on your WordPress site that does not happen elsewhere
The post is a normal WordPress post. You can edit it, schedule it, unpublish it or delete it from the WordPress dashboard like any other post. It sits in your own site, so your own sitemap, your own permalinks and your own internal links apply. HaloSEO does not need a plugin kept up to date, and it does not change anything else on the WordPress site. Your other posts, pages, settings and plugins are left as they are.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If the connection to your WordPress site stops working, HaloSEO cannot publish to it. That can happen if your login details change, if the site is moved to a new address, or if the site is offline. When publishing fails, the post is not lost. Fix the connection and the post can be sent again. HaloSEO does not host your blog, so a broken connection never takes your existing posts down. Your site keeps serving what it already has.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is also not right for you if you want a plugin to install and manage, because there is no plugin to keep up to date. And it is not right for you if you expect a ranking, a position or a traffic number by a set date. We do not control search engines and we do not promise those.
