AI Blog Writer for Shopify
HaloSEO connects to your Shopify store, writes posts, and publishes them into your own theme. This page explains the connection, the output, and what can go wrong.
How HaloSEO connects to Shopify
You install the HaloSEO app from the Shopify App Store and approve the access request. HaloSEO asks for permission to read your products, collections and theme, and to create and edit blog articles. It does not need access to orders, customers or payment details, and it does not ask for them. The connection uses Shopify's own app authorisation, so you can revoke it at any time from your Shopify admin. Once connected, HaloSEO reads your product catalogue and existing blog to learn what you sell and how you write.
What the published post looks like
Posts are created as normal Shopify blog articles, so they render inside your theme. They use your theme's article template, your fonts, your header and footer, and your navigation. There is no separate HaloSEO page and no widget on your storefront. Headings, images and internal links follow the same markup your theme already styles. If your theme has a custom article layout, the post inherits it. You can edit any post in the Shopify editor after it publishes, and your edits stay.
What happens on Shopify that does not happen elsewhere
Shopify stores have a product catalogue that doubles as a keyword source. HaloSEO reads product titles, descriptions, variants and collections, then builds posts around the terms people actually search for when buying those products. It links posts to the matching product and collection pages, so a buying guide points at the product it describes. It also respects Shopify's handle rules and URL structure, so links do not break when a post goes live. On other platforms this product level linking has to be set up by hand.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
The most common failure is a theme change. If you switch themes or edit your article template, published posts keep their content but may look different until the new theme is checked. HaloSEO flags theme changes and pauses publishing until you confirm. If the app is uninstalled or its access is revoked, publishing stops and existing posts stay on your store. If a product is deleted, links to it are reported so you can fix or redirect them. Failed publishes are retried and logged, and you get a notice rather than a silent gap.
Who this is not right for
This is not for stores that want a one off batch of articles to paste in by hand. It is not for stores with no product catalogue to write about, or with a blog that runs on a different platform from the store. It is not for anyone who needs a guaranteed ranking or a fixed timeframe, because we do not promise either. If you want to approve every word before it goes live, the workflow will feel slow. HaloSEO is built for stores that want posts researched, written and published on a schedule, with review available but not required.
