SEO Dashboard for Shopify
HaloSEO connects to your Shopify store, researches keywords, writes and publishes posts in your theme, and reports what it did. This page explains the connection, the output, and the limits.
How HaloSEO connects to Shopify
You install the HaloSEO app from the Shopify App Store and approve the access request. HaloSEO asks for permission to read your products, collections and theme files, and to create and publish blog posts. It does not ask for orders, customers or payment data. The connection uses Shopify's own app permissions, so you can see and revoke each scope in your Shopify admin at any time. Revoking access stops all publishing immediately.
What a published post looks like on your store
HaloSEO writes into your Shopify blog, not a separate hosted site. The post uses your theme's article template, so it carries your header, footer, fonts and colours. Images are uploaded to your Shopify files and referenced from the post. Internal links point to your products and collections using your real URLs. You can edit any post in the Shopify editor after it goes live, and your edits stay.
What happens on Shopify that does not happen elsewhere
Shopify stores have product and collection pages that already carry commercial intent. HaloSEO reads your catalogue and builds posts around the products you sell, then links those posts to the matching product and collection pages. It also handles Shopify's URL structure and sitemap, so new posts are submitted for indexing without a separate plugin. On other platforms this catalogue link has to be set up by hand.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If your theme changes, published posts keep their content but may need a check for layout. If you rename a product or change its URL, links in older posts can point to a moved page, and HaloSEO flags these in the dashboard for you to review. If the app loses permission, publishing pauses and the dashboard shows the failed step. If Shopify is down, the job waits and retries. Nothing is published twice.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want to approve every sentence before it goes live. HaloSEO publishes on a schedule. It is also not right for stores with no blog section and no plan to use one, or for stores that sell nothing and only need a brochure site. If you want a tool that only suggests keywords and leaves the writing to you, this does more than you need.
