Zapier
WordPress Integration for Zapier
HaloSEO connects to your WordPress site once and publishes finished posts to it. This page explains how that connection works when your site sits alongside Zapier.
How HaloSEO connects to your WordPress site
You connect your WordPress site to HaloSEO once. HaloSEO needs permission to create and publish posts on that site. It does not need access to your theme files, your plugins or your other content. The connection is made from your HaloSEO account, and you can remove it at any time from the same place. No plugin is installed and nothing is left on the site to keep updated.
What the published post looks like
HaloSEO publishes the finished post to your WordPress site as a normal post. It uses your site's own theme, so it looks like the rest of your content. It sits on your own domain, under your own URL structure. It is not hosted by HaloSEO and it is not served from a separate subdomain. You can edit it in WordPress like any other post.
What happens on a Zapier site that does not happen elsewhere
Nothing about the WordPress connection changes because Zapier is in the picture. HaloSEO talks to WordPress directly. It does not route publishing through Zapier, and it does not need a Zap to publish a post. If you already use Zapier for other parts of your site, that keeps working as it did. HaloSEO does not read from or write to your Zaps.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If the connection to WordPress is broken, publishing stops. Common causes are a changed password, a revoked permission or a site that is offline. HaloSEO does not publish to a site it cannot reach. When the connection fails, the post is not pushed and the failure is visible in your HaloSEO account. Reconnect the site and publishing can resume. Nothing else on your WordPress site is changed by a failed connection.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is not right for you if you want a plugin to manage inside WordPress, because there is none. It is not right for you if you expect Zapier to be the pipe that carries posts to your site, because it is not. And it is not right for you if you need a promise about rankings or traffic, because we do not make one.
