Shopify Integration for Make
HaloSEO connects to your Shopify site once and publishes finished posts to it. The posts go out as normal posts, in your own theme, on your own domain.
How the connection works
You connect HaloSEO to your Shopify site once. You give it permission to publish posts to that site. That is the permission it needs. It does not ask for control of your products, your orders, your customers or your checkout. After the connection is made, HaloSEO sends each finished post to Shopify as a normal post. You do not copy and paste anything, and you do not export a file.
What the post looks like on your site
The post arrives as a normal post in your Shopify blog. It uses your theme, so it looks like the rest of your site. It sits on your domain, not on a subdomain we run. Your header, your footer and your navigation stay where they are. Readers see a page on your site. Search engines see a page on your site.
What happens on Shopify that does not happen elsewhere
Shopify has its own blog system, and HaloSEO writes into it directly. There is no plugin to install and no plugin to keep up to date. There is no separate blog host to pay for or point a domain at. The post is a Shopify post, so it behaves like one. It shows in your Shopify admin, and you can edit or unpublish it there like any other post.
What breaks, and what happens when it does
If the connection drops, publishing stops. HaloSEO does not publish to a site it cannot reach. You reconnect the site and publishing resumes. If a post fails to send, it is not left half written on your site. If you change your theme, the post follows the new theme, because it is a normal post. If you delete the post in Shopify, it is gone from your site. HaloSEO does not change anything else on your Shopify site.
Who this is not right for
This is not right for you if you want HaloSEO to host your blog. It does not. It is not right for you if you want a plugin you manage and update yourself. There is no plugin. It is not right for you if you want a tool that edits your product pages, your collections or your checkout. It only publishes posts. If you run your blog somewhere other than Shopify, this integration is not the one you want.
