Image Generation for Shopify

HaloSEO writes and publishes posts to your Shopify store, and it makes the images that go with them. Here is how the connection works and what you should expect.

How HaloSEO connects to Shopify

You install the HaloSEO app from the Shopify App Store and approve the access it asks for. That access lets HaloSEO read your products, collections and theme, and create blog posts and files in your store. It does not let HaloSEO change your orders, your customers or your payments. You can remove the app at any time from your Shopify admin, and the access ends with it.

What a published post looks like

HaloSEO publishes to your Shopify blog, so the post uses your theme. Headings, body text, links and images take on the fonts, colours and spacing your theme already sets. There is no separate HaloSEO page and no widget to style. If you change your theme later, the posts change with it. Images are uploaded to your Shopify files and referenced from the post, so they load from your own store.

What happens on Shopify that does not happen elsewhere

Shopify stores have product and collection pages that already rank for buying terms. HaloSEO reads those pages and writes posts that link to them, so an article about a material or a use case sends readers to the product it describes. Images are sized and named for the product they sit beside. Posts also go into your Shopify sitemap, which Shopify keeps for you, so search engines find them without extra setup.

What breaks, and what happens when it does

The connection can drop if you remove the app, change your store plan, or revoke access in your Shopify admin. When that happens, publishing stops and HaloSEO tells you in the dashboard. Posts already live stay live, because they are your content in your store. If a theme change breaks the layout of a post, the post is still there and you can edit it in Shopify. We do not promise a fix time we have not measured.

Who this is not right for

This is not right for you if you want to approve every word before it goes live, because HaloSEO publishes on a schedule. It is not right for stores that sell services with no product pages to link to. It is not right for you if you need images of real people, real locations or your own photography, because generated images cannot stand in for those.
